The Piano Technicians Guild Midwest Regional Conference is presenting a masterclass/concert on voicing a concert grand piano. Join our resident Great Artists Series Concert Piano Technician, Keith Wehmeier, and Registered Piano Technician Ben Cross in the E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall as they demonstrate on one of our Steinway D concert grands everything that goes into curating the singing tone of the piano before a concert!

 

In preparation for our extra special guest, Yuja Wang, Keith spent the summer reconditioning the action parts and installing new hammers on one of our concert grands.  The piano has since been regulated to play like new and now awaits the exciting task of voicing the hammers to really put the finishing touches on the piano.
